Our Southlake Dragons are green and black, but during election cycles, red, blue and purple take center stage here in town. As a community of go-getters, Southlake residents are educated, engaged and invested in a wide range of local, state and federal happenings. As such, we lean in multiple directions.
But one place where unity reigns is in our Southlake Public Library. Any given day, people of all political, ideological and religious backgrounds willingly congregate together. Watching children dance to a story time program, enjoying a complimentary cup of coffee, dreaming among travel books or picking the brain of a librarian for the next great read are all community unifiers. And they take place six days a week in our library, enriching our community mosaic. The Southlake library, though small in square footage, is large enough to hold every one of us; red, blue, purple, green, black and every shade in between. ~ Misty Barnett
