Southlake Public Library is the heart of the Southlake community. We’ve lived in Southlake for nearly 10 years and typically visit the library once every 1-2 weeks. The librarians and staff are so kind to all of the patrons. They are also extremely patient and always willing to visit with my child to learn about his likes and dislikes so that they can make book recommendations. They have introduced him to so many wonderful books!

In addition to housing a fantastic, wide selection of books, the library offers many great programs. We’ve been so lucky to participate in many of the programs, including: the Summer reading program, scavenger hunts, take home art kits, Story Time, and holiday break programming. Last Summer, my child participated in the Junior Literary Writing workshop. I was blown away by the quality of the program. It is without a doubt the best “camp” or program that my child has ever participated in. My child came home every day excited to share with us everything that he learned! The program ignited his passion for writing and gave him a huge confidence boost for his writing at the new school year. I’ve not seen this type of writing program offered anywhere else. What a gift to the community! ~ Lauren Green
