The LFOS is committed to the support and success of the Southlake Public Library through advocacy, fundraising, and engagement that delights and benefits the community.

Our Mission & Vision

Our Vision

The LFOS sees its role as fundamental in expanding the library’s capability beyond the city’s budget. Our efforts are guided by the library survey conducted in 2021, feedback generated through community discussions with the Library Task Force, and the expert guidance of the library staff.

The library of today is so much more than books. Imagine the future Southlake Public Library as a showplace and a hub for the community, especially our students.  Our enthusiasm and involvement with the library will build awareness. With more awareness of the library’s offerings, the more possibilities we can build to support our community. We are non-profit 501c3, EIN 87-4737254.

What Is Our Why ?

The LFOS works in conjunction with the City of Southlake and the Southlake Public Library to sustain the momentum developed by the library and implemented by the Task Force to ensure the legacy of these initiatives.

Your participation with the LFOS will shape the community’s engagement with the library. With your help, we can deliver highly ranked youth activities, adult educational experiences, and immersive STEM and cultural events.

Board of Directors

Through advocacy and fundraising, the efforts of LFOS Board of Directors are guided by the library survey conducted in 2021, feedback generated through community discussions with the Library Task Force, and the expert guidance of the library staff.

The Board of Directors serve as ambassadors to share the Southlake Public Library’s message, mission, accomplishments, and goals. They participate in fundraising initiatives and events which support programs and capital projects. The Directors provide enhanced visibility; encourage use of the facility and its array of services; promote attendance at library programs and special events; and support the professional activities of the library staff

If you are interested in joining us on the Board, please complete the Board Member Interest Form today. We look forward to speaking with you.
